- I really hate to share my story so quickly and fiercely, but I feel I
- should warn anyone about to buy a Toaster 4K: if you don't have a high density
- floppy drive, you are royally screwed. And NewTek won't ship a diskette set out
- to you, in DD form. And since there are a small small number of these
- secretive Chinon drives, the world is a dark place.
- So, if you get a Toaster, be warned that installation of the software
- will be a new form of headache for you.
- And may I quote Ryan/Spike on management's attitude about the Amiga:
- "We are more interested in supporting our other products, and not the Amiga."
-
- Does anyone care to tell them they don't have any other products?
- I mean sure, there's lightwave, but that's software, and software support is
- easier, and less often. The fact of the matter is they don't care. At least
- the tech was a nice person. Of course, the fact that it's still 3.5 software
- they are shipping also irritates me. I sure hope it doesn't break. Chances
- are that NewTek wouldn't fix it if it did.

- PS: my dealer is solving this problem for me. I consider myself lucky.
